If you do not agree to any provision contained herein, you must immediately discontinue all use of our website and services.
All forms submitted to Origin DNA Testing—whether electronically completed, transmitted, or otherwise provided—constitute your acknowledgment and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions in full.
2. Nature of Services
Origin DNA Testing is a DNA sample collection agency. We do not perform laboratory analysis. All DNA testing and analysis are conducted exclusively by accredited, independent laboratories. We do not control laboratory processes, methodologies, timelines, or results. Laboratory findings are solely the responsibility of the testing laboratory.
3. Consent and Legal Authority
Connecticut law requires informed, written consent for the collection and analysis of genetic material. By scheduling or participating in DNA testing, you represent and warrant that:
You are legally authorized to provide consent for yourself or any minor or dependent individual.
You will not submit samples from any individual without proper legal authority.
You understand that unauthorized DNA collection may violate Connecticut law and may result in civil or criminal liability.
Origin DNA Testing is not responsible for disputes, claims, or legal consequences arising from improper, fraudulent, or unauthorized consent.
4. Accuracy and Limitations of Results
DNA test results are based solely on the samples provided at the time of collection. Origin DNA Testing is not responsible for:
Contaminated, substituted, fraudulent, or degraded samples
Inaccurate information provided by clients
Laboratory delays or errors
Misinterpretation or misuse of results
DNA results are not a substitute for legal, medical, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for consulting appropriate professionals regarding the use or interpretation of results.
5. Privacy and Confidentiality
Origin DNA Testing complies with Connecticut’s genetic privacy laws. We do not disclose personal information or genetic results to any third party without proper written authorization, except where required by law.
All samples, documents, and personal data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Transportation Assistance
Upon request, Origin DNA Testing may provide referrals to independent third‑party transportation providers. These providers operate entirely separate from Origin DNA Testing. We do not supervise, manage, endorse, or assume liability for:
Safety or conduct of transportation providers
Delays, cancellations, or service failures
Privacy practices of transportation providers
Use of any transportation service is at your sole discretion and risk.
7. Payment, Fees, and Refunds
All fees for services must be paid in accordance with our posted pricing and Refund Policy. Refunds are issued only in accordance with the terms set forth in our Refund Policy. Once a sample has been collected or submitted to the laboratory, refunds may be limited or unavailable.
8. No Warranty
Origin DNA Testing provides services on an “as‑is” and “as‑available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:
Accuracy or completeness of laboratory results
Timeliness of services
Suitability of results for legal proceedings
Continuous or error‑free operation of our website or systems
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Connecticut law, Origin DNA Testing, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any:
Direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
Losses arising from use of our services, website, or third‑party providers
Claims related to laboratory analysis, sample quality, or consent disputes
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with our services is to discontinue use.
10. Third‑Party Services and Links
Our website or staff may reference third‑party services, including laboratories, transportation providers, or informational resources. Origin DNA Testing does not control or endorse these third parties and is not responsible for their actions, omissions, or policies.
11. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut. Any dispute arising from the use of our website or services shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.
12. Modifications to Terms
Origin DNA Testing reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our website or services after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Legal (Chain‑of‑Custody) DNA Testing
Origin DNA Testing provides both non‑legal (informational) DNA testing and legal chain‑of‑custody DNA collection services. Legal DNA testing requires strict adherence to federal, state, and laboratory‑mandated procedures. By scheduling or participating in legal DNA testing, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
All legal DNA collections must follow verified identity procedures, including government‑issued identification, photographs, and signature verification.
Chain‑of‑custody documentation must be completed in full and may not be altered, omitted, or falsified.
Samples collected for legal purposes are sealed, documented, and transferred directly to an accredited laboratory in accordance with chain‑of‑custody requirements.
Origin DNA Testing is responsible solely for the collection and transfer of samples. We do not control laboratory analysis, interpretation, or reporting.
Courts, agencies, or legal authorities retain full discretion regarding whether to accept DNA results for legal proceedings. Origin DNA Testing does not guarantee acceptance of results by any court or governmental body.
Any failure to comply with identity verification or chain‑of‑custody procedures may result in cancellation of legal testing without refund, as outlined in our Refund Policy.
Legal DNA testing is governed by Connecticut law, federal regulations, and the policies of the accredited laboratories performing the analysis.
Payment:
Payment is required before services are rendered. We accept cash, debit card, credit card payments online payments. Services will be withheld until payment is received.
